This course is delivered through a 4-week online study programme based on 7 modules. It will cover the same syllabus as the classroom course, but through a tutored and interactive online platform. You will be able to study with your peers under the guidance of a WSET dedicated educator, who can be contacted by the student any time for the duration of the scheduled course.
Choosing the online option allows you more flexibility in terms of self-study time, organizing your studies in accordance to your existing commitments. The course follows a weekly structure, but you can decide to work ahead or catch up on the activities and forums at your own pace during the 4 weeks. During the course, you will be asked to share your learning experience with the rest of the group, to participate in weekly online activities and to post tasting notes in order to receive a personalized feedback from your online educator. The tasting is, in fact, an essential part of studying for this course, and you will need to taste a minimum of 8 wines. These will not be provided in the course, so you will be responsible for buying them yourself in order to complete the tasting exercises. A list of recommended tasting samples will be given online each week.
In addition to the online course, we provide our students with exclusive live additional support to enhance their online learning experience. This support includes two live Zoom sessions with our WSET Certified Educator Tommasella Perniciaro, DipWSET, focused on questions and answers about the theory and tasting content of the course and final examination guidance.
After attending the course, you will sit the exam at one of The Good Wine Habit´s venues in Gothenburg. Successful students will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
