At the end of January 2019 I was one of the few wine professionals selected worldwide by the Consorzio Tutela Vini della Valpolicella to take part in the Valpolicella Education Programme. This course is held by the Consorzio every year in Valpolicella, near Verona, with the aim of creating highly specialized experts from the wine trade about the world of Valpolicella wines. One of the main requisites to participate is to work in the wine trade outside Italy.
The course is composed by five different modules:
After three intensive days of training, we were examined on each module, needing at least 75% rate in each to pass the examination and be officially entitled as a Valpolicella Wine Specialist.
Today I am so happy to have become one of the few Specialists in the world and honored to have been chosen by the Consortium to promote and communicate the value and the quality of Valpolicella wines in Sweden through specialized tastings and events open to trade and wine lovers.
